WIRED MAGAZINE: ISSUE 16.06

This month’s issue of Wired Magazine has a very interesting and engaging cover. I couldn’t help but pick it up and flip to the feature article “Inconvenient Truths: Get Ready to Rethink What It Means to Be Green” (and preparing myself to not take it too seriously of course).
BUT, I see (and of course not agree with) what the geeks at Wired are trying to get at.
With today’s major and sometimes “media-circus” emphasis on reducing carbon emissions to help stop rampant climate change, this issue takes a radical (yet one-sided) arguement to tell readers that if the sole goal is to reduce carbon emissions, then this is what you ultimately have to do.
I personally found it witty, smart, and quite entertaining to read while taking satirical jabs at my values and beliefs.

Qila, a 12-year-old beluga whale, successfully gave birth at the Vancouver Aquarium, Tuesday afternoon.
“The baby looks very strong did just what babies are supposed to do,” said John Nightingale, a spokesman for the aquarium.
“It popped out tail first, swam to surface, took a nice big breath, popped back five seconds later and took another one. So that’s the first milestone,” he said. “The baby’s been swimming all over the place.”
Aquarium officials say they are virtually certain that the baby whale is a girl.
Before giving birth, Qila had been pregnant for 15 months.
