As we move into an era of human driven climate change our annual based food system is both the largest driver of earth system stresses and becoming increasingly more fragile to those stresses. Could a perennial based food system work better? What are the crops that thrive in our cold Canadian climate? We’ll explore some of the ways in which perennial cold climate agroforestry and forest gardening can address the pressing issues of soil loss, biodiversity reductions, climate change and meeting human needs.
This workshop is hosted by P3 Permaculture and animated by Aaron McConomy
It will be in English, but Francophones are more than welcome. Questions can be asked in French and whisper translation will be available upon request.
