The Alberta Emerald Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Emerald Award, which rewards environmental achievement and excellence.
Do you know an individual, group or business that has set an example for environmental achievement? Someone who has gone “above and beyond” what is expected of them in the protection of the environment? Maybe it’s you, your group or your business. Why not share that success and let others learn from your experience by submitting an Emerald Award nomination?
There are several award categories, including some for individuals, not-for-profits, the public sector and businesses. No doubt someone you know is deserving of a nomination for an Emerald Award. Take a look and decide which category your nominee fits in.
Important dates to remember:
- 4 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 – close of nominations
- Tuesday, June 16, 2009 – Emerald Awards presented on the Shoctor Stage at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton
