Climate Crisis: Countdown to Copenhagen

Press release from Sierra Club Canada – Climate Crisis:

stop-climate-chaos-2008-12-07.jpgOn December 7, 2008, Canadians from coast to coast will take to the streets to urge governments to stop climate chaos. The protests coincide with international climate talks in Poznan, Poland.

At this crucial time, let’s bring a message to the federal government – we need urgent action to solve the climate crisis. Canada should stop obstructing negotiations at international climate meetings – we need to do our fair share, to protect the environment, our health, and the economy.

Events are planned in St. John’s, Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, Woodstock, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Guelph, Waterloo, London, Owen Sound, Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Kamloops, Vancouver and other cities from coast to coast. If you know friends in these cities, please help spread the word.

Help spread the word! If you’re on Facebook, you can join the group Stop Climate Chaos-Canada and invite all your friends to join. There’s also a Facebook event page for events across Canada.
