This
month, former Prime Ministers Paul Martin, Joe Clark, Kim Campbell,
John Turner and Jean Chretien, as well as many other prominent
Canadians, joined an urgent statement of action spearheaded by PowerUP Canada — a new and unique coalition co-lead by the Pembina Institute.
In a letter sent to all five party leaders on September 17, PowerUP
Canada asked each leader to respond to six critical climate questions
that build on its widely-endorsed climate action statement. The
leaders’ responses, which will be posted on PowerUPCanada.ca, will enable Canadians to clarify who has the strongest commitment to addressing global warming.
