Government of Canada Encourages Truckers to Go “Idle-Free” at Truck Stops

OTTAWA, Oct. 21 /CNW Telbec/ – Truck drivers across Canada are responding
to the message that turning their engines off at truck stops is good for the
environment and the bottom line – and it keeps down the noise in surrounding
neighbourhoods. The third annual Idle-Free Quiet Zone Campaign, taking place
at 82 truck stops and other sites across Canada, is running now until
December 10, 2004.
