Car Heaven a Smash Hit

TORONTO, June 15 /CNW/ – At Metro Hall Square today John Wilkinson,
Parliamentary Assistant to the Ontario Minister of the Environment, was joined
by Karen Fraser, Marketing Sponsorship Manager at Imperial Oil, both wielding
sledgehammers at an old, high-polluting automobile to launch this year's Car
Heaven campaign. The year-round program, run by Clean Air Foundation, is
dedicated to accelerating the retirement of older, higher polluting vehicles
and to promoting a shift from traditional forms of transportation to cleaner
alternatives.
