Small Business, Environmentalists Launch Pilot Program to Take Action on Global Warming

An innovative new program to help small-and
medium-sized businesses shrink their carbon footprint kicks off in
Vancouver today. Ecotrust Canada, in partnership with The Pembina
Institute, the David Suzuki Foundation and corporate sponsors, is
launching a pilot program to help meet consumer demand for
climate-friendly products and services. The Carbon Neutral Workgroup
for Small Business will help companies calculate and reduce their
greenhouse gas emissions.

Summer 2007 update

Ahhh, summer is almost here….
After almost 4 wonderful years on top of Burnaby Mountain, thegreenpages.ca has moved to the community of Point Grey in Vancouver (just down the road from UBC). We’ll definitely miss the morning hikes, the calming frog calls in the evening, Nature Organic’s great coffee and conversations, and the amazing views and natural settings. However, we have a brand new community to explore as well as the beaches, great shops, and all the perks of the infamous West End (which reminds me, I need to buy my official neighbourhood uniform – a Lululemon outfit……sigh).
