Rick Searle – ekosTV.com

We would like to welcome our latest contributor, Rick Searle from ekosTV.com. I met Rick way back in 2000 at the Canadian Biosphere Reserves Association AGM in Tofino, BC.

Rick is no stranger to media and environmental journalism. He co-hosted Enviro-Mental!
– a weekly half-hour environmental magazine program
– for the New VI as well as contributing stories for
the
evening news. He has co-produced a half hour documentary
on land stewardship and contributed to the production
of three other documentaries, as well he has produced
and hosted two environmental radio shows. As a freelance
writer, his articles have appeared in magazines in
Canada, United States, United Kingdom and Europe, while
his first
book "Phantom Parks: The Struggle to Save Canada’s National Parks," published in 2000, is sold out. When he’s not chasing down a breaking story,
Rick can often be found kayaking, hiking or backpacking
in some park or wilderness area.
