Government not off the hook for cod recovery plan: WWF

HALIFAX, April 14 /CNW/ – WWF-Canada today called on the federal
government to swiftly develop an effective recovery strategy for cod. A
decision, quietly released last week by the Federal Cabinet to not list cod as
an endangered species under the Species at Risk Act (SARA), in no way absolves
the government of the responsibility to chart a new course for cod recovery.
