Smart Taxis Encouraging Environmental Respect (STEER) was developed in 2001 to engage the taxi industry and its partners in the region of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, in efforts to address climate change and reduce vehicle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
