Northern exposure: N.W.T trek aims to raise awareness of global warming

Arctic explorer Will Steger in the Northwest TerritoriesOn the frozen barrenlands of the Northwest Territories, six people and 31 huskies are mushing eastwards today across one of the coldest, most desolate places on Earth. Among them is Will Steger, the 59-year-old American polar explorer who vaulted to international fame in the 1980s for making the first unsupported dog sled expedition to the North Pole, and later, the first dog sled journey across Antarctica.
