Duck Populations Up

Ducks Unlimited Canada National
Office – The return of water to most of the Canadian prairies and parklands,
North America's most productive waterfowl habitat, has been credited in
helping to boost this year's breeding duck population estimate to 36 million
birds, up from 31 million birds last year. This places the population at
sixteen per cent above 2002 and nine per cent above the long-term average
(1955-present).
