The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) congratulates Prime Minister Jean Chr?tien for receiving the Fred M. Packard International Parks Merit Award from the IUCN World Conservation Union. The award was presented at the World Parks Congress in Durban, South Africa. Prime Minister Chr?tien is the first Head of State to receive the award.
