Whitehorse, Yukon – Public health officials are saying no to development near a Yukon lake, warning it increases the risk of contamination to the drinking supply of Whitehorse residents. The Yukon's medical officer of health, Dr. Bryce Larke, wants a moratorium on any new commercial development near Schwatka Lake until the city develops a plan for the entire watershed.
