Nothing must harm oil sands plans-Canada minister

OTTAWA – A senior Canadian minister added to the turmoil inside Ottawa over the Kyoto climate change protocol this week by saying nothing should be done to harm projects to extract synthetic crude from oil sands, which critics say would escalate carbon dioxide emissions.
