With representation from Sierra Legal Defence Fund, the Protected Areas Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (PAA), Natural History Society of Newfoundland and Labrador (NHS), and Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) are taking the provincial Minister of Environment, Kevin Aylward, to court over his controversial decision to allow a golf course to be constructed in Newfoundland's Windmill Bight Provincial Park without an environmental assessment. They are also asking for an Order to prevent the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Recreation from removing any lands from the Park.
