The City of Whitehorse says it wants help from Ottawa and the territorial government to
protect its drinking water. Water safety issues are
surfacing as a major concern, as the city's new official community plan nears
completion. It doesn't deal directly with protecting drinking water for residents. Now councillors want two levels of government to get involved, and help the city
develop a plan to make sure the water Whitehorse residents drink is safe.
