Green Home TV caught up with Thomas Mueller, President of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) recently at the CaGBC’s Symposium 2011. Mr. Mueller shared with us about the Symposium’s focus on existing buildings and the CaGBC’s programs to help reduce energy and water consumption in commercial, industrial and high capacity residential by 50% by 2020. First Nations’ Opposition to Site C Dam Submitted to BC Legislature

Victoria – Today opposition energy critic John Horgan submitted a declaration from 23 First Nations into the Legislature opposing the development of the Site C Dam, a large-scale hydroelectric project proposed by the BC Government.The earth-fill dam – estimated to cost $6.6-billion – would be the third dam on the Peace River in Northeastern BC. The Climate Change & Renewable Energy Coordinator will be responsible for a range of Climate Change and Renewable Energy activities at Falls Brook Centre and will coordinate FBC’s Appropriate Technology Department Programming:

• Explore opportunities for future Appropriate Technology (Climate Change and Renewable Energy) initiatives and projects.
• Coordinate volunteers and interns working on Appropriate Technology activities.
