Jan Gehl is an internationally renowned architect and urban designer. Over the past four decades, Gehl has been a world leader in transforming urban environments into livable, human-scaled spaces. He is Professor Emeritus of Urban Design at the School of Architecture in Copenhagen and a Founding Partner at Gehl Architects. He has received numerous awards, including an international honourary fellowship to the Canadian Institute of Architecture in 2008. Gehl is the author of several influential books in contemporary city design and planning, including Life Between Buildings and Cities for People.

Sasha Issenberg, journalist, is a columnist for Slate and the Washington correspondent for Monocle. His work has also appeared in The Boston Globe, The Atlantic and The New York Times. His recent book, The Victory Lab: the Secret Science of Winning Campaigns, presents the data-driven revolution transforming 21st century political campaigns and civic engagement strategies. Issenberg uncovers the secret history of modern politics, pulling back the curtain on the new tactics and strategies that helped decide the 2004 and 2008 USA presidential elections.
