Toronto – From starting school recycling programs to engaging in groundbreaking scientific research, high school students across Canada are responding to environmental issues at local, national and global levels and demonstrating their leadership in the process.
Through the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program, Toyota Canada Foundation and Earth Day Canada are acknowledging the valuable work of these students and are rewarding their efforts as they enter post-secondary studies.
The scholarship program rewards 20 graduating high school and Cégep students entering their first year of post-secondary education with $5,000 scholarships for their environmental community service, extracurricular and volunteer activities and academic excellence.
The deadline to apply is February 15, 2013.
