Vancity – The Delta Farmland and Wildlife Trust will be working with local farmers to help establish over 3,000 acres of mult-functional cover crops in Delta, improving soil quality and providing vital habitat for wildlife, such as migratory waterfowl, shorebirds, and pollinating insects.
Other innovative programs includes: Grassland Set-aside Stewardship Program (video clip), Winter Cover Crop Stewardship Program, Laser Leveling & Field Liming Stewardship Programs, Hedgerow & Grass Margin Stewardship Programs and For the Farmer: Stewardship Program.
