EcoLinks Conference – April 28-30th, 2011

Your host is the Ontario Society for Environmental Education (OSEE), the subject association for environmental education that has been in existence for more than 60 years.

Over the three days of the conference, you will have the opportunity to meet and be inspired by educators from around the province. We chose the title Ecolinks to focus on the conference theme of helping you make connections to the environment in your teaching. This is in direct support of the Ministry of Education’s Policy Framework mandating environmental education be taught in all subjects and all grades.

Keynote Speakers: Charles Hopkins, UNESCO Chair on Reorienting Teacher
Education to Address Sustainability; Ian Tamblyn, Musician, Students on Ice
Guide.

We are doing this as an “electronic” conference, with no printed promotional brochures. All receipts and communications will be done by email and PDF files.

The conference committee, all volunteers, and mostly full-time teachers, has generously donated their time over the past year to make this conference possible. We now look forward to enjoying the inspiring presentations, campfire, nature walks, and networking opportunities with your peers.
