Join Four Seasons of Green and follow along as a mother and her two children embark on a quest to change the North American perspective about an individual’s power to affect global change.
This is the journey of a suburban family taking the challenge to reduce their carbon footprint by becoming environmentally responsible for their own waste and bi-products as well as socially accountable through their consumer habits
The point of this project is to show other families and individuals living in urban and suburban environments, that there are many small ways to affect substantial change. The power is not within the Government, the World Bank, or the United Nations. Nor is it in environmental and social organizations. It is within each individual.
With every decision that a person makes daily; what soap they use, where they purchase their clothing, how they travel to work, what food they eat? they have the power to condone or condemn the state of the environment and social injustice that occur not only locally (with increasing poverty rates, loss of housing, and food insecurity), but globally as well (in the form of child labour and child soldiers, abuse, infection/disease with no access to proper medical treatment, limited access to water and poor water treatment, starvation, limited or NO sanitation, human rights violations?).
Each person has the power to be as great as Albert Einstien, Mother Theresa, Mahatma Ghandi, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandala, The 14th Dalai Lama, Aung San Suu Kyi, Rachel Carson, David Suzuki, Erin Brockovich?.
The question is do you have the courage to try?
Make the Change!
