As an update to ‘Electric Cars Potentially Coming to Vancouver‘… City Hall has unanimously voted to permit manufactured electric cars in Vancouver. CTV British Columbia reports that there still “remain some bugs to be ironed out with Insurance Corp. of British Columbia and signage”.
City Council is recommending traffic laws be changed, requiring electric cars to stay on the right-hand side of the street except when turning left or passing. These vehicles will not be permitted on city bridges which have a speed limit of 60 Km/hour.
