Toronto’s Film Industry Goes Green – Green Screen Toronto Website Launch and Anniversary

Green Screen Toronto is celebrating the launch of its new logo and website www.greenscreentoronto.com at its first year anniversary on July 24th.
Created to identify and implement environmentally sustainable standards in all areas of Toronto film production, Green Screen is a partnership of industry organizations, studios, unions, and government bodies. Established by Planet in Focus, IATSE, TFS/Filmport, IATSE 873, DGC Ontario, ACTRA Ontario, FilmOntario, NABET 700, PS Productions, Comweb/Whites, CFTPA,, Deluxe, and Panavision, the initiative has been supported by the OMDC Entertainment and Creative Cluster Partnership Fund. The following organizations are also coming on board as new partners, Cinespace, EP Canada and Star Grazing Inc., attesting to the widespread endorsement of greening the screen based industries and positioning Toronto as a global leader in this transformation.
Green Screen Toronto is setting the pace for international environmental standards in film, and will develop a green film certification system for productions.
