Run for One Planet an awe-inspiring trek to build environmental awareness

There are people who say they go the extra mile for the environment. And then there are people who really do go the extra mile for the environment. Literally.
Run for One Planet co-founders, actor Matt Hill and national speaker Stephanie Tait, are doing just that. For the next year, the pair will be running through communities in Canada and the United States on a 1,000-mile (17,700 kms) run. Hill and Tait have set a goal to run one marathon each per running day, to inspire one million people to commit to one new environmentally friendly habit, and raise $1 million. All funds raised will act as seed money to launch subsequent Run for One Planet green marathons in cities and towns across Canada and the U.S.
Actor Matt Hill is a seven-time Ironman competitor and has worked with legends such as Jackie Chan in ‘Shanghai Nights’. He can also be heard as the voice in the animated series ‘Being Ian’ by YTV, ‘Ninja Turtles’ as Rafael, and ‘Ed, Edd, and Eddy’ by the Cartoon Network.
Stephanie Tait is recognized internationally as a national speaker and personal success coach. She has received numerous awards in honour of her outstanding achievements.
Run for One Planet’s 2008/2009 Canadian and U.S. tour, is being funded by generous, green, community-oriented businesses, groups, family and friends who believe in the vision of Run for One Planet.
