FeedBurner is a Chicago-based company (now owned by Google) that provides media distribution
and audience engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds. Its Web-based
tools, including an extensive feed and blog advertising network, help
publishers promote, deliver, and monetize their content on the Web and
make feed-based content more accessible and manageable for its end
users.
We use FeedBurner PRO for a lot of stuff. FeedBurner allows us to track which links in our RSS feeds are clicked on the most, how many people read our feeds, and which RSS readers they use. Most importantly, we use the various Optimize and Publicize features such as FeedFlare, Email Subscriptions, and BuzzBoost to republish our Upcoming events RSS feeds.
