Harbour
Air Ltd. has charted a historical course with plans to become the first
airline in North America — and only the second worldwide — to be
completely carbon neutral by the end of the year.
The
Richmond-based seaplane operator, which has daily flights between
Victoria’s Inner Harbour and Vancouver and offers sight-seeing tours,
freight services and charters on the B.C. Coast, announced yesterday it
will purchase carbon offsets from a Vancouver non-profit society which
will re-invest the money into green energy projects within Harbour
Air’s operating area.
