Bell mobile phone take-back program supports WWF-Canada

$1 for every phone returned will fund WWF-Canada climate change and conservation work
TORONTO, Ontario, June 5 /CNW Telbec/ – Bell Canada today announced that it will donate one dollar to WWF-Canada for every mobile phone or personal digital assistant (PDA) returned through the company’s award-winning Mobile Take-Back Program.
Mobile phones collected through the Bell Mobile Take-Back Program are refurbished for reuse or dismantled and recycled. Launched in 2003 and available at all Bell Stores, the program saw almost 100,000 phones and 21 tonnes of batteries diverted from landfill sites last year alone.
