Original message from Stephen Lewis….

Dear Friends,
I need your help.
It has been three months since the XVI International AIDS Conference in Toronto and the Government of Canada has yet to announce its plans to combat the pandemic.
This despite the fact together we have delivered thousands of post cards to Mr. Harper calling on Canada to take decisive action against the AIDS pandemic.
On August 18, the day the conference closed, Health Minister Tony Clement promised the Government would act. He said: ?Is there more to do? Yes there is and we’ll be announcing that in the near future.?
Since that day, close to 750,000 people have died of AIDS-related causes and over a million women, men and children have become infected with HIV/AIDS. And the Canadian government remains silent.
Without doing our part to fight AIDS, we will never Make Poverty History.
Join me in sending a message to the government ahead of World AIDS Day on December 1st. Please sign our e-card to Minister Clement telling him he needs to act now.
Sincerely,
Stephen Lewis
