On December 26, 2004, the world was glued to their television sets as an earthquake in the Indian Ocean prompted a series of tsunamis, devastating hundreds of communities in South and Southeast Asia. Almost two years later, relief workers from around the world are still helping communities rebuild their towns and lives.
Environmental engineer, Tanya Grygaski, BASc ’02, is one of those relief workers. Tanya recently returned from a one-year mission in the Maldives where she worked as a waste management delegate for the Canadian Red Cross.
