TORONTO, June 1 /CNW/ – In response to a new Environment Canada report that states car manufacturers are making headway in reducing emissions in newer vehicles, Clean Air Foundation says that more needs to be done to take older model vehicles off the road. The report confirms that the auto sector performance is better than required and ahead of schedule in reducing the NOx emissions performance of new cars and light trucks sold in Canada according to the standards set by Environment Canada in 2002.
