TORONTO, May 8 /CNW/ – Today, WWF-Canada called on the federal government
to restore funding to a program designed to help low-income Canadians with
rising energy bills by helping make their homes more energy efficient. The
program was quietly eliminated as part of last week’s budget, but only came to
light when program providers were told future funding would not be available.
