SFM Network receives $12.3 million in federal funding to continue leading-edge research

EDMONTON, AB, March 28 /CNW Telbec/ – “Network research is identifying
new solutions for the development of more sustainable forest management
practices across the country. Our research findings are making a difference on
the ground,” says Dr. Jim Fyles, SFM Network Scientific Director, McGill
University. “We are particularly proud that the Government of Canada has
demonstrated its commitment to research excellence and sustainable forest
management through the Network.” The Network’s continued federal funding was
announced yesterday by The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of Industry and
Minister responsible for the Networks of Centres of Excellence.
