Naturalized Habitat Network is a community based initiative that promotes naturalized gardening. Originally started as a local pilot program in 2001, this was launched to address the growing need for information on gardening with native plants, attracting wildlife and other aspects of naturalized gardening. With a membership of over 200 members, this program attracts both new and advanced gardeners alike throughout the Windsor-Essex communities. Promoting naturalized gardening through activities that are both formal and fun, this program provides courses, seminars, nature hikes, home tours, a newsletter and social events. Individual assistance for members is also provided, through ongoing consultation by telephone and E-mail, as well as personal home visits.
