Feds Issue Historic Extinction Decision
(Ottawa) An announcement this morning by the federal Minister of Environment not to place two sockeye salmon populations on the federal list of endangered species is an historic extinction decision and sets the worst possible precedent for the future, says the Sierra Club of Canada, Environmental Defence and Nature Canada.
