Elk relocation will assist Park, boost Alberta’s elk population

Edmonton… Alberta's elk population will increase by about 200 animals when surplus elk from Elk Island National Park are relocated to areas in the foothills and released in January and February 2004, as part of an ongoing arrangement between the province and the park.
