The Otesha Project

The Otesha Project, which means reason to dream in Swahili, was created as a means to spread this message. We are a growing organization of young people dedicated to helping our generation of youth become aware, hopeful and empowered global citizens. In 2003, members of the Otesha Project will be biking across Canada making presentations and developing action plans with youth across the country. Their presentations and this website raise awareness about the global impacts of our society, while also articulating hope and solutions. Our goal is to show youth the positive effects their everyday choices can have – empowering them to consume sustainably and ultimately, to believe that they can and do change the world.
