Good Wood Watch is dedicated to ensuring that forest certification becomes a credible tool to verify that forest management maintains ecological integrity and demonstrates social responsibility. While we recognize that forest certification is not a panacea to the worlds' forest crisis, we believe that forest certification has the potential to effectively complement strong regulatory measures, public oversight and other means of protecting our forests for future generations.
