Environment Canada – Pilot Emission Removals, Reductions and Learnings Initiative (PERRL)

PERRL is an innovative initiative launched under the federal government's action plan to combat climate change. It is designed to provide Canadian companies, organizations and individuals with an economic incentive to take immediate action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As a pilot project, it is also intended to help both Canadian governments and private sector organizations learn about and better understand a number of important elements of emissions trading, a key policy measure which will be instrumental in helping Canada meet its climate change objectives.
