Environment Canada turns to technology to catch polluting ships

ST. JOHN'S – Biologists estimate 300,000 seabirds are oiled and killed every year, mostly by passing ships dumping oily bilge water. Despite some recent public losses, Environment Canada believes it's making progress in prosecuting the polluters.
