Two citizens' groups have dropped their Ontario Municipal Board appeal of a mammoth development plan on the Trafalgar Moraine in north Oakville in return for concessions from the town to protect the environment. Oakvillegreen Conservation Association Inc. and the Clear the Air Coalition had sought to block development on the environmentally sensitive moraine. But the scope of their arguments was limited by the OMB to technical rather than philosophical issues such as urban sprawl.
