Conservation Groups Call for Woodland Caribou Protections, Petition for Protected Caribou Habitat

In an urgent effort to protect the dwindling population
of highly-endangered woodland caribou, national and international conservation
groups today petitioned the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service under the
Endangered Species Act and the Administrative Procedures Act to designate
critical habitat for the species.
