Drought Diminishes Prairie Waterfowl Populations

EDMONTON, July 26 /CNW/ – Duck numbers are down about 14 per cent from
last year according to a survey of breeding waterfowl in select areas of
Canada and the northern United States. The survey, conducted this spring,
confirms what Ducks Unlimited Canada staff suspected given the late spring and
dry weather.
