Arctic researchers say Canada is failing to meet
its international obligations by shutting down a
laboratory in the high arctic. The Observatory for Detection of
Stratospheric Change opened at Eureka on Ellesmere Island in 1993. But the
Federal government has decided to shut it
down this year for an undetermined period of time.
