UPDATE – Canada dismisses report on potential Kyoto damage

OTTAWA – Canada dismissed a report this week that predicted ratifying the Kyoto protocol on global warming would badly damage the country's economy, saying instead that most Canadians backed the idea of cutting emissions of greenhouse gases.
