Tell us what Kyoto will cost

Canadians need to understand the challenges involved in ratifying the Kyoto protocol. It has often been suggested that there are readily available new technologies and processes that can be adopted quickly and extensively that will enable Canada to meet its commitment of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 30 per cent by 2012. According to a Globe editorial on Tuesday, these changes can be made easily and at little cost. For the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and members from every sector and region in Canada, this is simply not realistic.
