Canada edges further away from Kyoto ratification

OTTAWA – The Canadian government, under pressure from energy producers worried about the costs of the Kyoto climate change protocol, gave its clearest sign yet this week that it might not ratify the treaty designed to cut emissions of the greenhouse gases blamed for global warming.
