Interest is heating up a new diamond play in
Nunavut, on Baffin Island. DeBeers Exploration Canada has prospecting
permits for 32,000 square kilometers north of
Igloolik, on the Melville Peninsula. It's one of the largest land packages
ever assembled for diamond exploration, as big as the area
staked at Coronation Gulf in the Western Arctic.
